Biography
Dylan Adams is a Senior Lecturer in Education at Cardiff Metropolitan University. He is a former primary school teacher and specialises in Primary Education. His Ph.D explored KS2 children’s experiences of making music in outdoor rural locations. More recently, his research has investigated how nature spaces can enable so-called ‘optimal experiences’ in children. Dylan currently teaches on undergraduate and post-graduate courses at Cardiff Metropolitan University and is a reviewer for academic journals. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA)
and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Dylan is an executive committee member of BESA and his main responsibility is as Social Media Lead. This involves using our social media outlets to raise awareness of our organisation and the work that we do. Our social media platforms include Twitter, Facebook and our BESA blog. We aim to critique contemporary and perennial educational issues, exploring the various discourses across the broad spectrum of education in a range of contexts.

Research Interests: Ecological Pedagogy, Music Education, Contemplative Pedagogies, Hermeneutic and Phenomenological Approaches to Education, Holistic Education
