Salary:                 £24,989 PA (£4,997.80 actual salary for 6 months)

Hours:                 Part Time, 14 hours (2 days) per week. The days on which the hours are worked can be flexible

Contract:             Fixed term, for 6 months from start date

Location:            Flexible-remote working/in office at 39-41 Upper Oldfield Park, Bath, BA2 3LB

 
Norland College is looking to appoint a Part Time Research Assistant to join its busy and thriving team. This is an exciting new role and opportunity which will form part of a project to be conducted with the Transforming Autism Project (TAP) which is a new charity supporting families with children with autism.

The project aims to:

  1. develop a framework for the ‘Parent/Child Services in the Home’ service, based on the latest scientific and research evidence
  2. develop and pilot a monitoring and evaluation framework, system and relevant tools.

The role

The purpose of this role will be to provide support to the Research Fellow regarding the above project and in developing and conducting other innovative research projects relevant to Norland’s strategy and values. You must be a graduate or postgraduate of Social Science or a similar/related programme of study.

The successful candidate will have experience in conducting research, collecting primary data and analysing quantitative data. You will also need to have the knowledge or willingness to learn about different tools/ platforms used in research projects and be confident in using databases for literature searches.

You will need to be a self-starter, with the ability to get on well with people, be highly organised in order to meet deadlines and work to a high level of accuracy.  A flexible approach to College work and a friendly, approachable nature are key to being successful in this role.
