The British Education Studies Association (BESA) was established to support research in the field of Education Studies. It was formed as a subject association for all students, teachers and researchers in Education Studies within the UK. As Education Studies has become established as a field of study in its own right, it is important to explore the distinctive features of the discipline and what it can contribute to our understanding of the diversity of education theory and practice.
