This student publication has been developed with the following aims in mind:

  • To showcase the quality of undergraduate student work
  • To promote and support new or inexperienced authors to publish their work, providing scaffolded ‘stepping stones’ for ‘apprentice academics’
  • To recognise the value and significance of undergraduate research
  • To foster ‘research spaces’ and develop academic communities and dialogue
  • To cultivate connections between students and academics in different institutions
  • To contribute to the enhancement of learning and teaching on undergraduate education programmes
  • To empower students by enabling authorship, ownership and the demystification of ‘academic’ processes
  • To develop skills, competences and achievements – for student editors and reviewers, as well as student authors
  • To enhance the employability of undergraduate Education students
