BESA Research Grant Award 2018

BESA is pleased to announce that the recipients of the very first BESA Research Grant are Dr Gurpinder Lalli (PI) & Dr Brendan Bartram (CI) from the University of Wolverhampton- Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing, Institute of Education. Their project is titled: “The impact of Free School Meals (FSM) on extending forms of Capital: A small scale case study in one Academy school”. We would like to congratulate Dr’s Lalli and Bartram and we look forward with great anticipation to their investigation into this fascinating topic.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind our BESA members that this should the first in a number of research funding opportunities that BESA will offer its members over the course of the year. We will be considering a new funding call, to go out in 2019, and hope it will attract another round of interesting research proposals from you our members. We feel that these grants, together with our new program of symposiums, will offer our members a chance to share and showcase those aspects of their research and practice which are likely to be of interest to us all.
