Nathan Fretwell

Nathan Fretwell is Senior Lecturer in Education and Early Childhood Studies at Middlesex University. He has research interests and expertise in education and family policy, home-school relations, the philosophy of education, and the intersections between social work and education. Nathan is an experienced qualitative researcher whose work is underpinned by a commitment to social justice and to exploring how education and family policy impacts disadvantaged groups in society. He is currently engaged in research exploring the phenomenon of parental activism in education and in the early stages of developing a genealogy of home-school relations in the UK.
